What is a HDPE Drainage Pipe? A drainage pipe is any pipe used to facilitate the transfer of water from one place to another. The main purpose is to dispose of wastewater from homes, office buildings, or industrial areas. Disposing of water properly and efficiently can prevent water build-up, leading to flooding, structural damage, soil erosion, and other issues. For this reason, drainage pipes can even be used for the work at the job site as well as the final project.

These hdpe drainage pipes vary in both material and use. Some hdpe drainage pipes are used to remove water from specific areas such as roofs, while others are exclusively used to move water underground because of their material and composition. The type of hdpe drainage pipe a contractor chooses will often be based on the project’s drainage situation. Choosing based on price alone is usually insufficient due to the severity of the ramifications of failure. Types of Poly Drain Pipes

There are a few different types of hdpe drainage pipes that are commonly found in homes and businesses depending on the age and type of property you own. When you are looking to understand how long your drainage sewerage pipes will last and what condition they are probably in, you need to identify the type you have.

The most commonly found form of pipe in plumbing in the 21st century is Polyvinyl Chloride, commonly known as PVC. This is a popular option with Drainage & Sewerage Pipe because these pipes will remain in place for an indefinite length of time when installed correctly without leaking.

Other forms of drain pipes are not in common use anymore because they have flaws that are difficult to overcome. Galvanized steel, brass, and copper have a life expectancy of 20 years or more with lead pipes no longer in common use because they have the chance of damaging the water supply and making it unsafe for the future.

For the majority of plumbers and plumbing experts, the best materials to use for your sewerage and drainage needs are PVC and HDPE drainage pipe. These two materials range in cost but will provide excellent wastewater movement for decades without leaks being a problem. HDPE Drainage Pipe is a hard, light, solid pipe with a smooth inner and outer surface. It can carry potable water, wastewater, slurries, chemicals, hazardous wastes, and compressed gases.

This article will also introduce a non-excavation construction method for super large-diameter PE drainage pipes with simple construction and low difficulty in pipe traction. In order to achieve the above purpose, the following technical solutions are adopted: the non-excavation construction method of large-diameter PE drainage pipes, which is characterized in that this method includes: 

A: Drilling: According to the designed pipeline direction and the geological conditions of the previous drilling, first the inclined hole is drilled obliquely downward, and then the straight hole connected with the lower end of the inclined hole is drilled horizontally, and the first construction pit which is vertically arranged and communicated with the inclined hole and the straight hole is dug at the junction of the inclined hole and the straight hole , at the other end of the straight hole, dig out a second construction pit that is vertically set and communicated with the straight hole; 

B: Equipment installation: install a hoist in the first construction pit, and connect the traction head on the traction rope of the hoist; The grouting conveying mechanism is arranged on the construction pit and the grouting head of the grouting conveying mechanism is located on the upper part of the inner wall of the straight hole; 

C: First pipe layout: put the first drainage HDPE pipe body into the second construction pit and use the traction head to connect with the PE poly drain pipe. The front end of the pipe body is connected, first pour the grouting liquid on the outside of the PE poly drain pipe body with the grouting head, and then start the winch to pull the PE pipe body into the straight hole until at least part of the rear end of the PE poly drain pipe body is exposed to the straight hole and is close to the second stop traction after one end of the second construction pit; 

D: Continue pipe layout: put another drainage HDPE pipe body into the second construction pit, and connect the front end of the newly placed PE pipe body with the rear end of the previous drainage HDPE pipe body Docking, continue to pour grouting liquid to the PE pipe body through the grouting head, and at the same time start the winch again to pull the PE pipe body into the straight hole until at least part of the rear end of the PE poly drain pipe body exposes the straight hole and is close to the second construction Stop traction after one end of the pit;

HDPE Drainage Pipe Usage

E: Complete the pipe layout: Repeat the above step D until the successively connected PE poly drain pipes fill the entire straight hole. When laying the pipe for the first time, pour a high-lubricity grouting liquid on the first PE poly drain pipe body through the grouting head. The grouting head should be placed about one meter above the straight hole so that the grouting liquid is on the outer surface of the PE pipe body. A layer of mud is formed to generate buoyancy and reduce the friction between the PE poly drain pipe body and the straight hole. During the traction process of the drainage HDPE pipe body, no matter which side of the PE pipe body is in contact with the inner wall of the straight hole, the lubricating effect greatly reduces the traction force. After the two PE pipe bodies are butted, continue to pour the grouting liquid on the PE pipe body through the grouting head, which greatly reduces the difficulty of pulling the PE poly drain pipe body. In the above-mentioned non-excavation construction method of super-large diameter PE drainage pipe, in the above-mentioned step A, the aperture of the described straight hole is 5-20% of the outer diameter of the PE pipe; the second construction The length of the pit is greater than the length of a single PE pipe body, and the width is greater than the outer diameter of a single PE poly drain pipe body. The diameter of the straight hole ensures the normal traction of the PE poly drain pipe body. The length and width of the second construction pit ensure that the PE poly drain pipe body can be normally hoisted to the bottom of the second construction pit. In addition, in order to ensure that the PE pipe body can normally enter the straight hole, the depth of the second construction pit should be lower than the straight hole.
